Soccer Tour to Portugal

Sample Itinerary – 10 Days/8 Nights 

Suggested Travel Dates: March & April  

 

Day 1  

• Depart on your overnight flight to Portugal.

Day 2   

• Arrive in Lisbon, Portugal & meet your SoccerTours.net Tour Director.
• Enjoy a Tour of Lisbon, followed by free time, before a Guided Tour of either the Estádio José Alvalade, the home of Sporting Clube de Portugal, or Benfica’s Estádio da Luz.
• Afterwards, transfer and check-in to your hotel.
• A light, self-led Training Session this evening will help you to acclimatize to local conditions.

Day 3               

• Play your first Friendly Match against a local club team.
• This afternoon, experience a Guided Sightseeing Tour to Sintra / Cabo da Roca.
• Depending on your match kick-off time, your Sintra tour may include seeing the Palacio Nacional de Sintra, the historic center, and the Castelo dos Mouros.
• During your stay in Lisbon this weekend, you may have the opportunity to attend a Primeira Liga match (pending availability and professional team schedules).

Day 4

• Embark on a morning Lisbon / Belem Sightseeing Tour.
• Transfer to the Algarve and check-in to your hotel.
• Play your second Friendly Match against a local club team. 

Day 5      

• Free morning. Early this afternoon, depart for Lagos along the Algarve coast and an Ocean Kayaking experience.

Day 6   

• This morning, participate in a Community Service Project. [To be confirmed.]
• Free time at the beach prior to your match this evening.
• Play your third Friendly Match against a local club team. 

Day 7             

• Depart for a Guided Day Trip to Sevilla, Spain.            
• For fans of Game of Thrones, step into the fantastical kingdoms of Dorne and Mereen on a guided tour of the scene-stealing Royal Alcazar of Seville. 
• Play your fourth Friendly Match against a local club team.

Day 8  

• Transfer to the Lisbon area and check-in to your hotel. 
• This afternoon, experience a Team Training Session with a Professional Coach.

Day 9               

• This morning, play your fifth Friendly Match against a local club team.
• Afterwards, experience a half day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Lisbon Old Town.

Day 10 

• Transfer to the airport for your flight home……remembering the unique cultural and soccer experience enjoyed by all.
